Tiger v. Deer

Tiger Versus Deer. The first piece of art I have purchased. It’s a velvet painting I found in Austin at a gallery called blackmail I spotted it in a shop and it was love at first sight. As far as velvet paintings go, it is a high quality one.
As far as I know it came from Juarez, Mexico, one of the thriving velvet painting capitals of our day.
It breaks every rule of composition, the perspective is wrong, and I am pretty sure a white tailed deer would never meet a Sumatran tiger face to face. If they did meet, I imagine the deer would run away from the tiger. Oh well. I still love the damn thing.
