Documentary Recommendation: Plagues and Pleasures on the Salton Sea

I can’t recommend this movie enough.
The Plagues and Pleasures on the Salton Sea is a documentary (yeah 2006. old news, I know) about a community of odd folks near an (accidentally) man made lake in southern California. It’s a kind of post-apocalyptic story about a smelly lake, weird white trash, botulism, sonny bono, nudists, pelicans, Hungarians and dead fish. It is, of course, narrated by John Waters. Please watch it.
