Made in Half a Second

So my friend and ex-coworker has an interview all about the art he creates with his 1977 Trans-Am. He makes what he calls “Burnout Drawings.”

It takes 0.5 seconds to render a piece but there is quite a bit of prep involved. If I look at the total time invested to date (1998 to 2007) I’ve managed to produce six burnouts on linen and roughly thirty on paper which translates to about four prints per year at the expense of five engines, fifteen sets of wheels and tires, several fuel systems, brake configurations and exhaust set-ups, as well as two fabricators (and counting), a couple of tow vehicles, one auto transporter, garage/studio/storage leasing, and many, many fifty gallon barrels of fuel.

Have a look.
